Settings
Set the store's name, business details and currencies, and find every other settings page from one place.
Settings is where you describe your store as a whole, including its name, its legal details and the currencies it uses. Fill in the Store page first, and use the settings sidebar to reach every other settings page.
Litestore saves each setting as its own named row in the database. Each setting gets its default value from the store's settings registry, and the saved row replaces it. A setting you've never touched still has a sensible value. When you change one, the change takes effect without a deploy, and nobody has to deploy the change.

Navigation
Settings → StoreWhen you open Settings, you land on the Store page. It has the Branding form at the top, followed by the general, business, announcement bar and search-engine settings. The other settings pages are listed in the settings sidebar.
Branding
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Site name | Names the store in the header, page titles and social previews. |
| Site description | Describes the store in page titles and social previews. |
| Site logo | Shows the logo on the storefront. |
Litestore also uses the name and description for page titles and social previews. When you edit them here, shared links and the storefront both show the new text.
General and business details
| Field | Where it appears |
|---|---|
| Support email and support URL | The storefront, invoices and packing slips |
| Social profiles | The storefront footer |
| Legal name, address, phone and tax ID | Invoices |
A customer's accountant will look for these details. If you leave one blank, it shows up as a gap on the invoice, not just as an empty field in the admin.
Announcement bar and search engines
The announcement bar settings switch a bar across the top of the storefront on or off, with its text and an optional link. The search-engine settings hold the default image for social previews, a switch that asks search engines not to index the store (useful for a staging copy), and your Google verification code.
Currency and exchange rates
Settings → Currency holds the store's base currency, the additional currencies shoppers can switch to, and how exchange rates are kept.
You enter every rate yourself.
Fetched rates are hidden from the form
A scheduled job writes the fetched rates. They're hidden from the form, because the job overwrites them on its next run, and if you could edit them, the next run would discard your changes.
Other settings pages
| Page | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Notifications | The admin notification email that receives staff alerts, such as new sales and refund requests. |
| Payments | The Stripe connection and its status. |
| Shipping | Opens the shipping rates under Orders → Shipping. |
| Staff and Roles | Your team and what each role may do. |
| Integrations | Google Merchant Center and Meta Commerce, with the status of each connection. |
| Developer | API keys, webhooks and import runs. |
| AI | The AI provider status, this month's AI spend, the autonomy ceiling and recent assistant proposals. |
Fewer settings on purpose
Litestore keeps only the settings a store owner genuinely changes. Timings and policies, such as the customer cancel window, the refund request window, the delivery working days, the email automation delays, the social proof thresholds and how converted prices round, are fixed defaults in the store's code. Whoever runs the store changes them there.
Language
Settings has no language field, on purpose. Litestore determines which language the storefront shows by default, and which languages a shopper can choose, from three sources:
- The market they're shopping in
- Their own saved preference
- Their browser language
One language field for the whole store would be wrong for any store that sells in more than one market, and Litestore is built for exactly that. Language belongs to the market, and you set it on the Markets page.
