Social
Litestore tracks sales from social media posts, sends the catalog to Facebook and Instagram, and shows posts customers link in reviews.
Litestore doesn't publish posts to social platforms for you. You post on Instagram, TikTok, X or anywhere else with the platform's own app, and Litestore handles the parts that happen in the store. It tracks the visitors and orders your posts bring in, it keeps the catalog on Facebook and Instagram up to date, and it shows the social posts customers link to their reviews.

Meta Commerce
Meta Commerce is the catalog behind shops on Facebook and Instagram. You connect it under Settings → Integrations, and Google Merchant Center connects there too for Google Shopping.
access token
catalog IDLitestore sends one catalog item for each active variant of a published product and uses the variant's SKU as its id.
| Field | What Litestore sends |
|---|---|
| Title | The product name, followed by the variant label when there is one. |
| Price | The variant's price in the base currency. |
| Sale price | The sale price, but only while the sale is running. |
| Availability | In stock, or out of stock when the variant has no stock left. |
| Link and image | The product's page on the store and its main image. |
Excluded products
Litestore skips a variant that has no price in the base currency or a price of zero. Draft and archived products aren't sent at all.
Catalog sync
When you publish or update a product, Litestore sends that product to every connected catalog. Archiving a product doesn't remove it from Meta or Google, so remove it there yourself.
Social order attribution
A visitor from a post goes through these steps before their order shows Social as its source.
Link click
The tracked link adds its UTM tags to the destination, for example utm_source=instagram, and counts the click.
UTM tags
Litestore stores the UTM tags in first-party cookies that last 90 days.
Paid order
Litestore recognizes the social source and records Social on the order.
Litestore recognizes Facebook, Instagram, Meta, TikTok, Twitter, X, Pinterest, Snapchat and LinkedIn as social sources. A visit from a paid social ad, with a click id such as fbclid or a paid utm_medium, counts as Meta Ads instead of Social.
Platform links
If you share the same link everywhere, the platforms are impossible to tell apart. Create a separate link for each platform with its own utm_source, and each link keeps its own clicks and orders.
Untagged links
A visitor who follows a plain link to the store, with no UTM tags, isn't recognized as social. Their order shows as Direct or with whatever other signal Litestore finds.
Posts on reviews
When customers write a review, they can add a link to a post about the product. The review shows the link with the platform's name, such as "View on Instagram". Litestore recognizes Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, Pinterest and Reddit, as well as marketplaces such as Amazon and Etsy, and it labels other addresses as Other.
Litestore doesn't check that the linked post exists or what it says, so read the link when you moderate the review.
